Paulina Aguirre
Paulina Aguirre was born in Quito, Ecuador. She is an Ecuadorian singer/songwriter. In 2007, she released her first solo album entitled "Mujer de Fe" (Woman of Faith). This album was produced by her husband, Pablo Aguirre. In this album, she works with a latin rap artist. In 2009, she released another album titled "Esperando tu Voz" (Waiting for your voice). She is currently working on a third solo work called "Rompiendo el silencio" (Breaking the silence).
Enrique Espin Yepez
Enrique was born in Quito Ecuador also, but moved to Mexico in 1969. He is a violinist, and an older Ecuadorian artist. He died in 1997. He was a professor of Violin at the National Conservatory of Mexico. His teacher declared him the heir of his technique and gave him a Ceruti violin, made in 1801. Enrique also created an International Violin Competition in Mexico in 1992.
Oswaldo Guayasamin
Oswaldo Guayasamin is an artist in Ecuador. He was born into a poor family in Quito. His father did woodworking and then worked as a taxi driver. Oswaldo was one of ten children. He loved art at an early age, and worked on caricatures of his family. He graduated from the school of fine arts in Ecuador as a sculptor and painter. He has since then won many prizes.
